My SS is at Pep Boys in California having the clutch done. They called my brother & said I needed a water pump & a new harmonic balancer. I have no problem turning a wrench, so my question is . . . is there anything else I should do while i'm in there?

I'm waiting for the car to be shipped to me. But i'm going to stock pile what I need so when it gets here, it's go time.

I would go ahead and give the car a tune up. Change the oil, flush the rad, change the air filter, spark plugs and wires, I have put fuel line cleaners fluid in the gas tank when filling up which doesnt hurt. Change the brakes and rotors. Just all the maintainance works u know. Have fun.

you forgot to ....Grease the fittings, replace any worn busings,check the fuses, check the tires, test the horn and lights. and adjust the mirrors. Are we forgetin anything?

 

As soon as the car is in my posession all that will be done.

 

if your replacing the water pump you might as well change the opti if you can, make sure you have plenty of windsheild washer fluid
