someone hit me a month ago going 50mph on a parkway, clipped me from the front and spun around 180 degrees. i suffered rough fender and rear quarter panel damage along with major front end damage. insurance company kept tellin me one thing and telling the body shop something completely different. but when it came down to the they made the decision to total it, with over $4000 worth ofwork. it was a 97 camaro with a great looking forrest greenpaint jobwitheverything in immaculate condition. it had only 73k miles on it and so much more lifeand i never had any problems with it. R.I.P. green machine, what a great car.

did you have the chance to buy it back from insurance? if so how much did they want? I am looking for a fourth gen that I can pull parts out of for another project I am working on?

 

thing is they wanted to give me $5000 to fix the front end at the place i took it too. then the insurance wont let them do more than that and i would have to take it to another body shop to get the fender and quarter panel fixed. its retarded. so i made the decision to give it up and they gave me almost $7k for it. considering the blue book is 5500.i would love to have a 97 LT1or a 85-87 monte carlo ss.
