Bent Axle Shaft
Hi my name is Danny I have a 2002 35th SS Camaro with 6 speed well heres what happend acouple of months ago it was raining so my camaro slides around pertty easy i was getting real good at drifting in 2nd gear then i thought i would try 3rd gear well the car started to slide around to much and i tried to correct it four times then i saw a drive way and i tried to slide the car in side ways well the pass wheel cought the cornner of the curb knock the lip of the rim off and bent the axle. so i need to know if any one knows where i could get a axle shaft. The dealer ship here told me $235.00 for the axle shaft. No scrap yards have a 93-02 Z28/SS Camaro there with the rearend. But Summit Racingmight have one but i dont know what my ring gear size is 7.65 or 7.50 it has 3.42 gears in right now or if a 89-91 camaro axle shaft will work well if any one knowswhere i could get a axle shaft pleaselet me know thanks.

RE: Bent Axle Shaft
Any 4th gen axle shaft will fit your car, because all 4th gen came with the same 10-bolt rear. And NOTHING is different with them except the gear ratio & limited slip, otherwise the parts are ALL the same. That means if it is a RS. Z28. TA or any other 4th gen model no matter it is a 28 spline axle shaft.
89/91 will not work,difference overall length between the 3rd & 4th gen rear axles/

RE: Bent Axle Shaft
Why don't you ust buy a brand new bolt in rear end from someone like Moser? or Curie? The stck rear ends on the fourth gens are known to be kinda on teh weak side...especially if you intend to add a bunch more power.
