Default 99 camaro, engine help please

Well, I have a 99 camaro, and a 327 small block.

I am not highly skilled much in engine types in conjunction with body frames of cars. So I am wondering is it possible to drop a 327 into a 99 camaro, but at the same time is it wise to do that regarding performance wise along with upgrades and money wise at the same time? Any info that anyone could give would be appreciated greatly. Thank you.

If you have an LS1 in there now you would be a fool to replace it with anything else. If you have a 6 banger I guess it could make sense, but you could have quite a hassle with emissions and what not, if that's a concern in your state. Carbs don't fit well in 4th gens because the engine is placed so far back, but it can be done.

It's just a 6 banger.
