I just bought a 96 Camaro with the 3.8 in it, the ses and abs lights are on, and I wanted to scan it. Tried two different scanners and I cann't get them to power up. I know for a fact the scanners are good (tried them on another car)

Is there anything I can check?

check the lighter fuse im pretty sure they share the same power source
