Ok so I guess I'll change my clutch when I do my intake gasket and all other top end gaskets. So I'm planning on dropping the engine a few inches by undoing the 6 k member bolts is that doing to cause a problem if I remove my tranny with it dropped?

Also where is a good place to jack the car up with the k frame unbolted? Is there a place in then front bumper or should I just jack it up at the jack points?

at the jack places is where i do it. one side at a time. i go from side to side so im not jacking it up so far as to take a chance on bending something.

then thaats how i'll jack it up. Also can the speed sensor be tuned to accept readings properly from a 3.73 gearing or 4.10 gears? if i remember correctly the 96 pcm cant be tuned so i dont know if that includes gear changing.

Not sure about your ride bro, but on my t5 out of my third gen, I had the exact same inssue and just crawled under the car and adjusted the pressure screw in..well adjuster or whatever you wanna call it. Sorry, been working on the truck for the last bit so its been awhile since I thought about a five speed...lol. Dunno if your newer t5 has it or not...just a thought.

So does anyone known if the 96 speed sensor can be adjusted for different gear ratios? I'm planning on going from my 3.23 to 3.73 or 4.10.
