Hi all, new here, maybe this topic has been brought up, but not sure how to do a search yet. I just bought a 95 with the 6 speed and it has 5th and 6th out. the speed-o-meter turns but the care dosent move, their is a little whine in the tranny. any suggestions? Thanks

 

Mabye the mainshaft or 5th and 6th driven gear are damaged. I have a similar problem and that is what needs to be fixed for me.

Is your foot on or off the gas when the speedo goes up when the car doesn't move? You can do a burnout, not move, and the speedo will read as if you were moving.
