Default 2 fuel pump failures in 2 days?

My original fuel pump died on me after 137k miles of service and I replaced it with a ebay pump that worked for about 15 miles and died on me. I figured it was a quality issue so I bought a walbro pump and it crapped out on me after about 100 miles (driving to reset computer). What can cause a pump to fail so quickly? I'm going to drop the tank and clean it, but is there anything else that can cause this?

Alright it was a false alarm. I was getting impatient and put the fuel pump wires in the opposite connectors. I just need to do a good soldering job on a wire in the pump, and then I should be good to go.
