1996 3.8.... new battery.. its getting spark but wont start and the running lights stay on.. no headlights though.. even when i shut the car off.. i had to disconnect the battery to get the rear lights off.. its the running lights not the brake lights.. please help

 

You have any codes? Can you hear fuel pump when you turn the key to on position?

Unplug the light switch wiring connection behind the dash from the headlight switch to see if all your lights go off.
