in a tuff situation

Default in a tuff situation

so i need a little help. i was messing w/ my 85 camaro and i tried to start it and it tried for a second and when i tried that i had no power to anything no lights or anything so i tried to jump it and i still didn't get anything with it hooked up to another vehicle i didn't even have any lights. any insights as to what it could be.

Check your battery cable, especially where the negative wire grounds

agree with yankee it sounds like a bad connection in the cables. wire brush the heck outa the battery terminals and cable ends, follow the cable to the block and clean it as well. while your doing this check out the ends themselves, sometimes the connection between the wire and the connector/crimp on end gets lose or corroded and connection fails there. you should also have a ground strap running from the block to the cars frame.
