First car i ever bought of this style. 86 with a carburated 350. Its equipped with a B&M slap shifter, i believe their "Megashifter". No tranny in the car though. Dude told me i needed a specific tranny but it figure as long as its an auto tranny, it should be fine. What do yall think? Cuz i was jus planning on buying a 350 or 400 for it.

 

TH350. The cable with the shifter can fit a bunch of trans. I recomend going with a TH350. Unless that engine has some crazy mods, you should be fine with it. Also get a torque converter. I don't know what's been done to the motor, but you might need a higher stall speed.
