ok so, my 89rs is converted from TBI to carb (holley600 and edelbrock performer), anyway when i bought the car the temp guage didn't work b/c of the conversion, i bought a temp sending unit and installed it now, i can't find the wire that goes to the temp guage ? i've been trying to find it for days, i even removed the instrument cluster, where is the @#$% wire ? how do i get this working correctly ? thanks guys it's drivin me nuts

I got the same problem. I can't find the damn temp sensor on the head, where it is supposed to be. My gauge's needle is just pointed all the way up.

 

if yours is a 3rd gen, the temp sending unit is on the drivers side head in between the spark plugs. you can't see it from the top, you have to be under the car.
