well first you would have to get a intake for 86 and up heads (angled different than odler year heads), you can use the older ones but a bit of machining will be required.

After the carb is on you will need to get another electric fuel pump and regulate the gas going in.

Make sure to mark your distributor when you take it off so it can be in the same firing order when put back on or find tdc and line it up.

I may be wrong but i asked that same question before and i just ended up selling the motor lol.

not 100% sure but i think the regulator should do the trick, as long as you get 5-6 psi going into the carb any more you will flood it.

For your fuel delivery, you can use your existing fuel pump. Install a return style regulator (Summit has em) before the carb and set it at 4.5 psi.
If you use a dead-end type of regulator, you could eventually burn up your pump.

You will also need to get non computer controlled HEI distributor.

This isn't the for sale forum but I have an Edelbrock Performer intake with the center holes drilled for 87+ heads, as well as an HEI distributor for sale. PM me if you're interested.

a non computer controlled hei-a return stylre regulator-an intake can be for a regular small block but you will have to modify the center holes-carb-use one of the injector power wires for the choke. you will also need special fittings for the fuel lines. i have a post about all that i used.
