if i take off my compressor and my smog pump since there not being used and get a shorter belt? would that be good? and help in horse but as well for weight reduction? is there a shorter belt just to run on power steering,water pump,crank, and driveshaft? i think those are the main ones

 

yea they have belts in all sizes and it probably would help hp, and definitly weight

 

it is not even worth the hasle unhooking the smog equiptment, then you have to re-write the ecu because of the trouble codes the motor is going to throw out thats even if it starts. get a under drive pully system to slow down your strain on the motor, and if you run it at the track get a shorter belt to bypass the a/c. autozone has all the belt sizes on their computer and can match you up on for your application.
