I went through the problem of getting some good looking tires with a decent speed rating in a 15 ten years ago. So I fixed that by buying a set of 16" IROC wheels.
And personaly I think those steel wheels are grosse. They are so common. You see them on trailers! But to each their own.

If my math is still good that only adds up to two whole dollars difference per tire. And if I am on a role here that would be $8.00 more for a set of 16" over 15". Not enough enough to worry about.

 

Alright, i know for sure im gonna go with 16's. And ive narrowed it down to 2 wheels, those U.S Wheels and a possible set of 1988 Irocs on ebay for about $150

 

haha yea they do look like something you'd see on a trailer, thats the same thing i was thinking, but i wanna put some old school look into it, id like to get those eagle alloys that look like the american racing torque thrust'sbut i dont have that kind of money

 

What kind of motor and transmission work do you have done mustangeater92

 

Its the stock 305 5.0, completly stock. But the transmission is a rebuild 700r4

 

Nothing looks bettter then IROC rims on the 3rd gens. I had a 90 Iroc and I looked and looked for different rims. But nothing else looks as great as the stock Iroc rims. I just wish they made a 17, if I am correct they only made a 15 and 16.

 

The Iroc wheels are only in 16 from the factory but the aftermarket does make them in 17. I seen them in either chrome or polished before.

 

i bought a set of 87 style irocs, there in pretty good shape. on has a little curb rash but thats about it
