ok i have a first time question, i have a 92 camaro rs with a 305 tbi. nothin special but i got it for $1200. i was wondering what are some mods that can be done to the throttle body?

 

i have the same exact car... first off you can buy a high flo air filter assembly such as K&N... then comes the more expensive mods such asmaking true dual exhaust, bigger tbi system with a bigger intake manifold, and any other mods you can think of

 

You could get a bigger one or have it bored to a larger size (the first one's a little easier).

TPI has more horsepower and torque. The TBI is the "low power" V8 that Chevy came out with.

 

Completely different fuel injection systems TBI uses oneinjector on a carb like setup vs TPI which uses eight injector or one for each cylinder.

LO3 TBI has 170HP & 255 #/ft of TQ for both Auto & 5sp.
LB9 TPI has 205HP & 285 #/ft of TQfor Auto
LB9 TPI has 230HP & 300 #/ft of TQ for 5sp
