Question ac belt help

New guy here.would appreciate if someone could help me out on this one.I have a 84 camaro Z28 I bought a few months ago for my son.It has a 305 HO engine with ac.The ac belt is missing ,the compressor and brackets are all there.I noticed it has a aftermarket chrome power steering pulley with one groove.I can't figure out how the ac belt goes on.In other words what pulleys it goes around. Is the power steering pulley suppose to have two grooves.one from crank to pump and the other for ac belt?

THANKS,
STEVE LONG...

You might want to invest in a shop manual... the haynes ones are fine for digrams like this. A google search might net a good idea as well. I will look at my chiltons when I get home and see if I can better answer your question.

Both Chiltons and Haynes are of absolutely no help with pulley set-up. That is the only thing I haven't figured out from my motor swap. I ended up with an extra bracket somehow (digital camera pic came out fuzzy) and I couldn't ever get the belt properly adjusted. So for now its de-belted. I hate not getting something as simple as that corrected. I'll have to find a junk yard car to use as a reference.

But, back to your problem. It sounds as if that "bling" bracket isn't correct for your application.
