FYI, Every time you try an incorrect resistor you will have to wait. I think its like 5 minutes before the system will reset and allow the correct resistor work right.

 

save yourself hacking into the wires and ruining your pcm. its going to be about $200 to have a locksmith come and make a key after you get the serial data from a dealer through the vin. the serial data will give them the value for the correct resistor key. i was just going through this over the weekend because i lost the keys to my blazer, but later found them in my sweat shirt

 

z28pete, i have the same problem he has. i have a # 12 key, 6000 ohm resister. could you please explain in detail how to wire it in. what color wires are involved. a schematic would be helpful. also can you explain the relearn key procedure. thanks for your help.
