Picked up an 86 camaro today, car originally came with a v6 that now has a 89 350 tpi motor in it. From what the previous owner told me car is not receiving injector fire command from ecu. If you spray starting fluid in throttle body motor fires and runs as long as you keep it primed with fluid, asked if they put a v8 ecu and harness in and he said yes.Can this be as simple as a vats problem, vats and ecu not recognizing key because it's not original ecu. Your thoughts will be appreciated.

Thanks for the info, even though the car itself did not come with vats, the ecu they used has it so going to flash it and delete vats from it
