alrightg i have a very important question i need an answer to asap. i looked through the faq and found nothing helpful. the current dilema we have is a bellhousing issue. since the car was a v6 i guess teh factory bellhousing cant be used so my brother got one for a 91 camaro with a 350. he did this since he plans to retain the manual transmaission that came with the car that was attached to the v6, and to retain the hydrulic clutch. the first problem is the nose of the starter wouldnt clear the bellhousing. after looking at starter for a 73 350 (what he originally purchased) and the starter for a 91 z28 (he was hoping the nose would be smaller and clear the bellhousing) he discovered there is no difference in size so i decided to make do with the 73 starter and he just trimmed the bellhousing. that seemed to solve the first problem but now we ran into another one. the bellhousing from a 91 camaro w/ 350 when bolted up sits cockeyed and will sitt the transmission at a tilt towards the driver. we are trying to figure out what bellhousing must be used. we know one for an older 350 woudl work but he wants to use the hydrulic clutch which is a dilema since most earlier ones arent hydrulic. if this is too congusing i'll snap soem pics shortly of the bellhousing and show how it sits crooked. the only thing i can think of is that maybe the bellhousing isnt actually from a 91 camaro. he bought the bellhousing off of an ebay seller so it is possible its not really for a 91. does anyone know what bellhousing this could be that wont clear the 350 starter and sits crooked yet still has the same bolt battern to mate up to the 350? and another thing is what bellhousing should we use then? i hope that anyone thats gone through this swap already can weigh in. we're almost ready to drop the motor in and this is the last thing we need sorted out. i'll post soem pics soon to better help explain what i mean. thanks for any help and feedback. i appreciate it

thanks but we got it figured out. after a slight trim on the 91 bellhousing so the starter could clera that bellhousing works perfectly. after talking to a few local guys who know what they're doing we discovered the transmission is suppossed to tilt that much, the shifter is angled to make up for it. we were told we might have a problem actually bolting the transmission up and that the shaft woudl be too long for the going into the pilot bushing but we had no problems. the motor will be gonig in soon
