89 into 88 engine swap questions
WOW I've got lot's of questions for all of you able minded CAMARO Guru's out there!
I've got an 1988 IROC Z28 convertible with a 305 with TBI. I wanna put a 350 in it. I have a 1989 IROC Z28 donor car available with a 350 TPI in it lined up. Should I buy the donor car route or buy the motor out of the car? What items should I be sure to transfer from the 350 engine? The 89 to 88 year has got me nervous are there any other conversion things I should take care of? Do you anticipate any any automatic transmisission issues trading up from a 305 to the 350? Do you know of any literature or resources that can assist me and my husband with this engine swap project?[/size] Thank you!

As long as you have a donor car with the 350 TPI complete you should not have any major problems.
One of the big problems with a TPI into a TBI car is the wiring harness, sensors and the ECM, and you will have that covered. Most external engine parts are common between a 305 & 350. Also the drive train is no problem.
