Probably a dumb question.... 350 engine build/swap
Ok well I desided Im just going to replace my engine with a 350 but I hit a problem
http://gmperformancepartszone.com/pa...html?cPath=1_2
Is that engine considered a "1987-95 Chevy 5.7L engines originally equipped with centerbolt valve covers" ? As I'm going for Edelbrock for everything else then the "Ultimate TBI" Or a 2" High flow TBI on top. (yes Im keeping the TBI I like it) Oh and what would I have to change anyways? Nothing?

sorry im not understanding everything you said, it depends on what the style heads the engine has, most of the older style ones have the 4 bolts on the side of the valve covers

Sorry, what I meant was that I want to use that engine block in my Camaro with Edelbrock Heads and valve train that use the TBI and not a carb, which limit me to only this intake (Performer T.B.I. (EGR) #3704), and I think that means I'll need the same style 350 heads to bolt on right Performer Centerbolt heads
Basicly will their Performer Centerbolt heads fit that engine block
Yes confusing I know

I don't know that that's such a good deal for what you're getting?
I like how they describe that "partial engine"..."An aluminum-headed 350 that makes 355 horses!"
But...but...it doesn't include the heads, nor a cam, lifters, timing set, front cover, oil pump, oil pan, balancer, or flexplate.
Did you read the fine print?
"The ZZ4 350 partial engine includes the ZZ4's forged steel crankshaft and coes with LT1-style pistons and connecting rods.
It does not include the camshaft, cylinder heads, lifters, timing set, front cover, oil pump, oil pan, balancer, or flexplate."
Gee, those are a few important h.p. making parts that aren't included!
How can they rate an engine that's only half there?
So, basically, you're getting a block, crank, rods, and pistons, for $2,537.08?

Dunno, and ya I read that and it didnt make sense to me either... So your thinking I'm probably getting ripped off? Know any good brands of partial engines? I honestly dont heh... Most of the part where getting replaced anyways so I didnt think much of it.
I guess their telling you how much the complete engine puts out tho they really need to reword that entire thing
