Yeah. The GT has a 4.6 V-8. The 3.8 is a base. They are decently quick for a V-6. He will beat you. Not by a lot though. His car is right about the same weight as yours, but might have a little mor power. You might have more torque. But still, you never know. These are pretty much just statistics numbers and probability.

im sorry i got to reply to this i own a 99 v-6 mustang conv. with 40 lbs of turbo, k/n cold air intake, true dual flowmaster exhaust, short shifter on 5-speed manual w/ a keflar clutch. also i own a 82 z-28.not to brag or anything but i eat 305's for lunch in my tang. maybe if you had a 350. it will be a good race, but i would'nt put any money one it.

 

Well yeah with what you have. But I had a carbed 84 and I tweaked the carb and my brother had early 90's fuel injected horse meat (five litres of it) for lunch before. And that was with his fat friend in my car. And I beat one before at the wednesday night drags. Stock for stock.

me and some buddies raced a 3.8 SC, id say he was about as fast as a stockish GT or maybe a little faster
