I know I'm a ford driver and I'm not looking to cause trouble but I would like to know if my car can hang with any v-6 camaros. it's a 97 with exhaust, CAI, 4.10 gears, and a shift kit. I can't get any decent answers from the mustang guys so I was hoping someone here could help me out.

sorry for the double post on that.. but after thinking about that I think you could probably hang with v6 camaros, but I'm not going to pretent like I know because I'm not really sure of it..but I think u could at least hang with stock camaro's.

 

yeah thats what I figured, I've beat a 3.4 but I was just curious about the 3.8

 

no there is no way ur v6 puts out 150hp stock and a camaro puts out 200hp stock even with ur up grades and i'm not tryn to be rude but my dads 98 v6 cant hang with my camaro when i was stock i mean i beat a 97 4.6l mustang and i have an auto with just some sparkplugs/wires,k n,and flowmaster,and a chip like i said dont hate mustang i have one too

 

now my camaro is probably one of the fastest v6 camaros on this site and mustangs u cant really make the v6 fast and i'm talking the 94-98

 

My friend bought a '97 V6 Camaro new to beat the insurance costs of a Z28. His ran from 15.9 to 16.2 in the quarter depending on the weather. He usually could run with a stock '97 GT Mustang and would shame any V6 Mustang.

 

damn.. well.. thats good news to me.

 

I doubt you would beat the 3.8 Camaro stock but with your mods who knows. I have always taken every 3.4 Camaro I have raced. I can usually hang with the Mustang GTs that are like your body style, sometimes they beat me and sometimes I beat them, but the win margin is very small. I took one GT buy about 3 car lengths once, he must have been a really bad driver or the car was ragged out. Just find one and race.
