Id say stock for stock the 94-98 v6 would lose to my dads dodge ram (stock), but the later years could hang with the v6 camaros (year for year). there not as heavy in the later years.

 

3800II your camaro IS the fastest V6 lol... i give u props for that man thats hard... If you can, or feel like it, tell me like everything you did... i want a camro but gotta get a V6!

 

Well my first car was a 98 Mustang V6 (3.8) with a AT trans.....THAT CAR SUXED *****!!!(as far as speed went.) I couldnt even git that dam car to git past 105mph. (all though for looks I loved my Mustang that was one sharp looking car)

My 97 Camaro with the 3800II kicks *** I can git that car to 120 in fourth and still have a whole nother gear to go through. Ill tell you right now a GT mustang 96-99ish model would bea good race but a V6 Mustang would just suck......

 

actually I was talkin about 98camaro3800II's V6... thats sick tho!

 

Actually the Camaro has the same V6 engine from 97' to 02' same HP same everything. Just different body.

 

My friend just bought an auto 98 4.6L Mustang GT, It would tear the doors off of your v6 camaro. No bullsh!t. This car is fast. He's got a K&N intake, Flowmasters, and we think a shift kit. Because when this thing shifts it literally kicks you back into your seat.
Mustangs arent pieces of sh*t I just don't like "most" mustang owners are cocky and arrogant. You're not going to be able to keep up with no 4.6 with a 3.8

If it's "that" fast then I say it has more mods then an intake and flowmasters. Sure it shifts hard because it has a shift kit, a V6 will shift hard to if it has a shift kit, that dosen't mean it's fast. My 3.8 can hang with most pre 99' 4.6L GTs and sometimes win. I know in 98' they got 10 horsepower bump but that's hardly anything to talk about. I'm not trying to say it's not fast or I would beat it, but if it's running anything lower than mid 14's it has more mods then that.

 

Everything else looks stock on the engine, but who knows could have heads, Stuff you can't notice just looking at it. I dunno what 1/4 miles time he does but there's this stretch of road outside of town that is about a quarter mile (a little longer though),he took off and by the time we got to the end he was doing 140, it's probably a quarter mile + a 1/16th of a mile all together. I still told him to wait till next summer and i guarantee that I will have a Z28 that eats that mustang up.

I don't know why everyone always wants to find out before hand who would win in a race. Grow some ***** and just race them. Of course whatever forum you post under, they'll support that make.
