Rebuilding a V6 Engine
I've decided to go ahead and start off with a '91 Camaro 3.1L V6 Engine, since I've been itching to finally rebuild an engine and get the concept of it into my head.
The engine has nearly 300,000 miles on it, and it was rebuilt when it hit the 150,000 mark. If anyone has the time, could someone tell me if I should do a small overhaul? Or go all the way and completely rebuild the engine with new parts?
I'm stripped for a budget, and really can't shed out a lot of money on this project, so the cheaper route would be my preference (time isn't much of an issue for me).
If you could include some useful resources for me to read up on, that'd be great.

pawengineparts.com has a complete super stock kit crank, cam, etc 800.00$ its not on the website but it was in the magazine and i called and they have it in stock but u have to call, it aint on the website anymore oh yeah and it comes with forged pistons im estimating about 350 hp
go to youtube and look at the v6 turbo 1988 camaroits running low 12s high 11s with boost so bout low 13s without and he doesnt have anything but turbo intake and headers so just think with the whole superstock kit 350 max
1988, i know the guy who has that turbo 3.1. he's actually running ported 2.8 heads (car started out as a 2.8, he bored it out) and was running a 50 trim at 9psi. he now has a larger turbo on 11psi (don't remember the exact size) and he's looking for high 10's. he was hitting 12's on stock (for a 3.1 anyways) internals, no aftermarket cam, just forced induction.
if you want to talk to the guy, he's on horsepowerforums.org. his SN is Project89
but i gotta agree with pete, a fully built (N/A) 3.1 isn't going to get anywhere close to 350hp at the crank even. the compression is WAY too low for that (8.5:1 stock)
