this is my first time here i hope that i might get some info on rebuilt motors? i have a 1984 z28 h.o. camaro. and its been sitting in the garage for over10 years now and i miss her. i'm getting ready to have the block pulled out question, will a 350 cu block link up with a 5 speed manual trans?? i have a 305 cu block right now , but i was told that i could trick out a 350 more??? and i was told by co-worker to watch out for chinese parts????? can anyone shed some light on this for me thanks !

The 350 will bolt right in. Does your 305 still have the computer in it? You might want to ditch the computer and replace carb and the distributer (they are controled by the computer). You need to check the emission laws in your area. The computer is concidered part of your emission system.

As for no "chinese parts" good luck with that. Almost every company buys some of its parts from China. Even the ones that say they are made in theUS could have been made up to 75% in China and the last 25% finished here and its "made in USA". Stick with brand names. China will give you crap if you let them. Most brand named companys will inspect and reject back any partsthat do not meet their standards. Where I workgets some stuff from China I have seen it where we just through 3 shipments away cause it was not worth shipping unfixable parts back to China. After making the parts three times and not getting paid they figured out how to make the parts right
