2.8 tranny to a 4.3?

Default 2.8 tranny to a 4.3?

ya i was just woundering if i can bolt a 4.3 up to a 2.8 tranny or what moters will bolt up to it i have a well built 2.8 tranny with a stage 2 shift kit and would like to use it if i can? please help

I got stage 2 brake lines! hahaha
The 2.8/3.1 V6 will not bolt to a 4.3 The 4.3 is a 90 degree V while the 2.8 and 3.1 found in these Camaros is a 60 degree.

Yes the 3.4 is also a 60 degree and your 2.8 tranny will bolt to it. I did not mention the 3.4 because it was not offered in third gen Camaros

Yes the 3.8 as well. But if you are going to do a swap like that keep in mind you need the 3.8 out of a rear drive vehicle not only due to the mount bosses in the correct location but I also think the starter is on the wrong side. Plus I don't think the 3.8 has a distributer drive at all.
