We got the 454 tore down to the block because the rod end bearing were worn down. Just recieved the master rebuild kit and should be together this weekend. Started trimming down the wiring harness to get rid of s**t we dont need. After we build up the engine we have to set it in the bay and make our mods to the firewall to account for the distributor. Does anybody know the summit or jegs part # for the Chevelle oil pan 3985999 or equivalent? I called summit and they didnt know what I was talking about. I got th part number from the Camaro Tech BB eng swap page.
After i figure out how to shrink my pics or link them I will post them on this tread.

 

I got lucky and mine came out of a 72SS Chevelle and fits good. Maybe a wrecking yard.

 

I have been lookin around in the pick and pulls. no luck though. Its all good though we got plenty of time to get it going

 

starting to peice the engine back together. pretty much all new guts. Got the crank polished and putting it in today. hopefully we can be running by this weekend or next. Ill keep it posted if anything changes.
