V8 swap....Which engines will work???
So i have a 91 RS cameroand i am wanting to swap that engine with a V8 350 but the problem is i cant find one, all i am finding isthe305. So i wanted to know which engines would be not terribly hard to put in to my car. I have been looking at Firebirds and Cameros of course but im not sure about trans ams and also what years can i go up to on those cars. I want to do this without having to go through to much work on the car itself.(besides the swap)
Also i herd that some 305 cam shafts were braking after like 80 thousand miles... is that true?
One more thing, for my car would it be hard to swap out the transmissions from a auto to a manual, my plan in this is to buy a car swap the engine, trans, and rearend.
Thanks in advance

ANY chevy small block will bolt up to the current motor mounts, you could put as big of a small block in there as you want. i would stick with a 350, maybe a 383 depending on what your wanting out of the car.
havent heard that rumor about the cam, its doubtfull though.
as for the auto to manual swap... youll need all the linkage, clutch cylinders, new set of pedals. then a few more odds and ends that i cant remember.
