transmission mounts
If your mechanically inclined it's actually a very simple job. The mount itself is like 10-20 bucks and I believe it's four bolts to remove the cross member supporting the tranny and one or two bolts that holds the mount in. You'll obviously need to raise the car and I would suggest having something to support the tranny while you remove the cross member. What year car is it? And from what I remember when I did pay a mechanic to do it he charged me like 40 bucks for the whole install. But this was like 7 years ago
Get an Energy Suspension urethane mount so it wont break again (makes a little noisier inside but not a lot at all). They are about $20+/-. Then after you jack the car up and suport it put the jack under the the trans ( under the tail shaft house or with a board under the pan close to an edge where its stronger). Unbolt the mount, a stud and two bolts or 3 bolts, and jack up the trans enough to get it out and put the new one in.
