tranny and rear end?

Default tranny and rear end?

if i were going to do around a 500 hp application what would be the best transmission and rear end that would be able to hold up to whatever kind of beating i felt like throwing at it

if u get a power glide then u only shift once, and depending on what ur up to the gears u want will change (street / strip)

i want it to be a mainly street car for cruising around in and automatic is out of the question...i would never be able to justify having an automatic i just dont like to drive automatics it would kill the love of driving for me

Look into the Tremec TKO 500 or 600 they both are 5 speed manuals. They can handle quite a bit of torque (500-600 ft/lbs) As far as a rear end goes look for a 12 bolt they're much stronger then the 10 bolt rears that are stock in these cars. Check Summit, Jegs and also lookat Currier rears they have some nice ones too. They're all pretty pricy so check your budget.

thanks to everyone that has helped so far, does anyone know of anything that is good but not as expensive as the top of the line stuff? i kno that if i buy inexpensive than more likely than not the parts arent gonna be that great but there are a few options
