Best tranny and rear end for 350 swap.

I am currently looking into a 700r4 transmission, and I have also recently found a rear end out of a 91 s10. With factory 3.42 gears with gm posi, I was wondering if this would fit right in where my stock ones were. And am looking into either getting my transmission professionally rebuilt or if I should buy the 700r4. Any input would be extremely useful.

700R4 is probobly the best way to go, especially if it was in there before. It makes so much more sense from a driveshaft, TCC lockup function, speedo cable, torque arm...etc.
As far as the rear goes, I am not 100% sure, but i believe you are better off just switching out the carrier and going with upgraded axles. To me unless everything, and I mean everything is an exact dimension copy you will still end up needing upgrades.
