Tranny and rear end upgrade?
Hey guys, I have a 95 z that I'm doing some upgrades on. LE2 heads, cam, and possible stroker kit, just to name a few of them. I'm hoping to get around 500+ to the wheels. I know that the stock rear end is a flawed design for heavy power, and ive been having some issues with the tranny slipping, so I'm wondering which direction I should go for rear end and tranny. Is the 4l60e worth sending off to have beefed up? And is it a lot of hassle to put a 9" under it out of a ford pickup, or should I just spend the money and get a pre-fab. rear, and if so what are some good options?
heres a couple of good trany places. performabuilt will rebuild your trany and patc sends you a trany, no core.

A rear of a pick up truck is going to need a lot of machine work and fabrication to make it fit. The truck axle will have to be cut to the proper width, and all the brackets fabricated and welded to it, and most important in the precise spot.
