tackleing the heater core

quick question about that,,, do i have to clear out the A/C lines as well? I have an 89 RS with the A/C obiously. It was originally a 305 if that matters...

No. Do not disconect your a/c. The evap is in the engine compartment and the heater is from inside the car.
