Default Starter problem.

I have the craziest problem with my car. After cruising it around a bit, maybe an hour, I turn it off. I hop back in a few mins later and the car acts like the battery is unplugged. I turn the key and absolutely nothing happens. No click not a thing. I usually have to wait 10 - 15 mins and try again and it works. I'm guessing it's some weird electrical problem. Anyone have any ideas about it?

Next time it happens, try banging on the starter with a hammer or something. If it starts after you hit it a couple of times, you have a bad starter.

I'm with GM, the heat make the starter sieze up. After it cools alittle it starts. I have the same issue sometimes w/ my 79 Z.

ya know, i had a similar problem with an old mustang i had. only the culprit wasnt the starter, it was a ground wire that would melt to the header when it was hot, then after it cooled it wud start again.. just my 2 cents of another problem that may be the case.
