Default Spohn subframe connectors

I just installed the Spohn subframe connectors on my 86 z28........I got them on Ebay for like 195 + shipping the installation was pretty easy as long, as you have a welder, and it seems to have stiffened the car up quite a bit. I haven't drove it yet, but just jacking the car up and down it seems more rigid not to mention they just look cool under there. Does anyone else have Subframe connectors and what are your thoughts?

Let us know how you like it, or if you feel a difference once you get it out on the road. Is yours a hardtop or T-Tops? I have a stock 91 RS T-Tops, and for performance purposes, I don't think they're an absolutenecessity, but it can't hurt. But from a ride aspect, I know these cars can twist some, and I can feel mine move a little as well ashear the tops and windows seals squeak and creak when hitting bumps. If you made a mental note as to how it reacts, I'd be curious about the before and after results, if it gave the car more of asolid feel or not. I definitely have weld-in subframe connectors in my 69 though, but that one has a couple more horses than the 91. Without them, I'm sure my car would be twisted, and my windshield would probably crack into pieces too. Wrinkled sail panels aren't uncommon on non-reinforced high h.p. first gens. either. I'm sure you're gonna like them, if for nothing else, the oooh factor!

I installed the tube type Sphon SFC as soon as they came out about six years ago and my 87 IROC is tighter now then when it was new. This should be the first Mod anyone makes on 3rd gen car. Any brand as long as they are welded in. Forget the bolt on type.
