do you have the HEI system on your carif so did you have the HEI module check if it is bad changing the coil will not make a differance

 

i dont know. my cars off the road now so i have all the time i need to make it better. im getting a whole new ignition setup, new carb, new exhaust, and a few other things. then im gonna start rebuilding a 350 then drop that puppy in.

 

If the coils sets in the distributor cap, and it is pretty bulky it’s probably the HEI since it is carbed. If you are going to change it out I would suggest the MSD 8365 or the Read to Run MSD 8474 distributor, something that I should do myself.
