rev limiter?!?!?!?!

i was doing a brakestand the other day and my tach stopped at around 5500 and bounced arouond and sounded like a rev limiter. does my car have a rev limiter, or were the valves just floating?

No....Unless you changed the ignition system and it has a rev limiter.

**** so my valves were floating.... well i guess i need to get a new ignition with a limiter

Your valve float is a built in limiterIts when the rods come out of the oil pan is when you reved too high
