Default Running "Choppy"?

Hey guys quick question, since ive had the car in march, ive never done a tune-up im thinking plugs and wires and while im at i might change the oil, when i drive the 91 z28 305 tpi, sometimes it idles really rough and has a loss of power, it only misfires,idles rough somedays, somedays it runs fine, any info? I was just going to do a tune up? thanks,

Since you have not done it and most likely dont know when it was done last a tune would be a good place to start. Dont forget a fuel filter. And consider a tranny service also.

I just got the tranny rebuilt not even a month ago.. if that means anything. to ya

Also check your IAC Idle Air Control valve.

Then you should absolutely flush the tranny. The first 500 miles of a fresh rebuild are the worst thing the fluid can go through without far outliving the sevice life. And if anyone tells you you don't need it because the fluid looks good, never let them touch your car again. After that, get it flushed every 20k, no matter how it looks, and I would change the filter after the initial flush, too, if it were mine, then once every other flush. They only run about $15 around here, and come with a gasket.

Well, somewhere you trust, at least. Don't take it to Jiffy Lube.
