Rear Wheel Well
Hi all,
I made a discovery on my 1989 Camaro RS.
I didn't notice this when I bought it, so it may have had a temporary in place that fell out.
Anyway someone has cut away a large portion of the drivers side rear wheel well and you can see straight through to the exhaust and under the trunk. I'm not sure why someone would cut away a large portion, but it is pretty obvious that it has been cut.
Can someone tell me where I can find a replacement? I've looked on several parts websites but cannot find that body part for an 89 Camaro. My husband says just drive it and forget about it, but now that I know it's missing it drives me insane, lol!!

A pic would for sure help, but if its in the little compartment, and its sheet metal, it may have been a repaired rust area. If thats the case, new sheet metal will need to be welded in, no problem for a body shop. But again, a picture is better than a description.
You are right, pics tell the story. So, here you go. You can see where it has been cut because the lines are too straight for it to have fallen out on it's own. I also don't see where a repair job was done, so I'm really lost as to why someone would cut it away.
Looking forward to any suggestions anyone may have. My husband and I are Do-It-Yourselfers, so I would really hate to take this car to the body shop to do this repair. They would probably charge me an arm and a leg.

Thanks for the replies, at least I know I'm not going crazy.
