Rear end advice
ah hell, go with it. www.spohn.net has an order for with all the options clearly shown and can answer any questions. i plan on ordering my rear through them and picking it up as im only an hour away. the rear i priced out is about $2800 to reuse factory disc brakes
Also changing the rear axle assembly is a pretty straight forward job. But you should ask questions about the dr shaft and brake lines.
PS. These assemblies come unpainted so plan on painting it before installation. Por-15 would do the job.
For sure i'll keep checking. It looks like I would need a new driveshaft, brake assemblies to convert to disk, new brake lines...etc. I'll need some local guy advice on what shops will do it and labor costs...Plus being how I am already a little low on vacuum @idle I may need a vacuum pump. It looks like over 3200 so far. Not cheap huh?
After doing some more research...it appears after all is said and done it would be over the 4K mark to do the whole rear the way I would want it to be. I am still not opposed to doing it, but I may have to wait till I sell another race bike to feel comfortable spending that cash right now.
How bad would it be to use the same housing and put an eaton carrier with 3:xx and switch out the old axles and use hardened ones with a c-clip eliminator? Again, I'm opposed to the moser, or 9", but 4K is starting to get a little steep?

Well go back to my first suggestion.
