Default Putting my 84' z28 on the road...:)

I recently bought a z28 from a shifty looking car salesman at a dealership...I want this baby on the road.
It's got an aftermarket hood, T-tops, Some sort of Eldebrocht racing Carb, and a BRAND new tranny
After a thorough check, these are the problems I could pinpoint:
Fuses, DONE
Engine needs to be timed,
Need to replace valve cover seals, DONE
Replace left rear brake caliper, DONE
Manifold gaskets?, (the manifold's get hot quick, and smoke when I gas hard)
hatchback seals, (minor leak)
Gasket for exaust where it meets the manifold,
Wiper motor,
Paint job (it seems it's never been redoneOil change with oil filter change, DONE
Carb timing and cleaning. DONE
Plugs and Hoses and wires.

Also: I blow oil straight out my exaust...not much but....****. I'm praying to god it's because of the Manifold gaskets and the engine not being timed...
I've a near 1500 budget, I'm looking for advice on priorites to getting this thing running smooth.
A little advice please? :-)

Also note that though I have a shop, this is my first car and I just got my Liscence a day ago, so I'm a bit ignant about the Mechanicals.

if you want to get this puppy on the road, i say you take care of the fuses, engine timing, and the exhaust/manifold gaskets first .get this car in running shape and able to be driven daily with out problems before you go for the looks like paint.

the plugs and wires should be changed when you give the car a good tuneup

My thanks!
Maybe I could tweak the whole exaust system, considering I have to mess with manifolds AND exaust? And If I did put aftermarket exaust systems in, does anyone have reccomendations?

well it all depends on what you are willing to spend, i would go with flowmasters, but if you want to browse yorself you can check
www.summitraing.com it lets you search for the parts made for your model/year/engine
