Default Is Painting My Car In My Garage Safe???

Hello everyone,
I was wondering if some of you guys could fill me in, I am only 18 and still live at home. I want to paint my car in the garage, but my mom thinks it would be unsafe for me. I will only be painting a urethane high build primer because I'm going to do the base and clear in a paint booth. I am renting the paint booth, and can't afford two days since I will have to wait for the primer to dry and block it, then base coat and clear coat it in a day if I go the one day route, which is impossible. I have a charcoal mask and will have fresh filters when painting, and will have the garage door proped open with a box fan blowing air outside. I want you guys to give me an honest opinion and if it's unsafe please let me know. I really appreciate your replies.

Thanks, DacMan

You should be ok, but filters and a boxfan is not near enough air sooner or later your gonna have to stop and take a breather, Thats just one problem, The other is proper ventalation to keep the dust and other particals off the car while your spraying, and lighting to see your light and dark spots to get an even spray, if it where me i would save some money and rent the booth for however long you need it

no problem, The first car that i painted was in my garage was a 86 monte carlo, IT WAS ROUGH we had to do it in sections cause the air flow was really bad, Just be sure you take as many breaks as you need and you should be just fine.
