Its an 89 RS auto with a '92 305 TBI (maybe 93 but almost positive its a 92) in it. My problem is that the tranny has no 3rd gear. I dont know what tranny is on the car since it is my uncles and im going to try and fix it for him.

I just want to know what tranny it is and what i should replace it with. Its bone stock except for the engine (he blew the orignal). Do you guys know good places to get camaro parts??

Any help would be awesome or just pointing me where to look will work too.

its more than likely a 700R-4 if its auto, if manual its a Borg Warner T-5 probably

personally i would buy another trans for the car, or get it rebuilt in a shop
