Default muffler eliminator, too loud?

i won a neat little series of pipes from an ebay auction. it takes place of the muffler. simple inlet and dual outlet, no muffler. how loud do you guys think this will make my car with a factory cat? i remember my friends 350 TBI sierra was run for a long time with only a cat, and it wasnt loud at all. i plan on in the future getting a flowmaster and gutting the cat, and figured this would be a good noise and hp maker until i get one.

You may like the sound. I drove my 84 Z28 to the muffler shop with nothing after the cat. Sounded mean.

as long as you didnt do anything to your engine it wont be loud enough to get ticketed but you will deffinetly like the sound...and maybe **** off ur neighbors! haha and the flowmaster with gutted cat will sound good too, my dad has an 87 vette with a gutted cat and magnaflow super40s and that sounds pretty good. my 89 has turbo mufflers and i am going to get around to putting a high profom. cat on just so i can pass inspection

everything is stock for now. i thought, maybe i can replace the cat with something like a hushpower or a regular glass pack to help quiet it somewhat as well as make it look like it had a cat.

well, i got it installed yesterday. i tried to do it, but when all of the u-bolts were rusted on, i said eff it. i took it to a custom shop, and they nicely took off the old muffler and welded in the pipe (clamps didnt seal it). they also bolts in my dust shield on the tranny while they were under it, and did it all for $40. my tail pipes are about an inch under the body, so you cant really see them at all. and man do i love the sound. also picked up probably 15 hp, and its now faster than my geo, so its prolly runnin mid 15's now. did some testing and its now up around 85 in third, where as when i bought it, it could only muster 70 mph in second.
