LOUD CLUNK NOISE COMING FROM REAR ON ACCELERATION
When I accelerate medium to hard, I get a nice loud CLUNK from the rear of my 1991 RS. I've heard it could be the panhard bar or the bushings, but what else could it be? I haven't had a chance to look under it yet, but any other possible causes would be nice to know about.
Thanks for any advice

I had the same thing with my IROC it was the transmision mount. It sounded as if it was coming from the rearend, but since the tranny and rearend are connected with the torque arm, the sound was transmitted to the rearend from the transmission.

Its very likely the transmission mount, as you can see from a concensus of the posts above, they tend to go on this model (and other Camaros) a lot at somewhere between 10 and 15 years, and they are not that expensive to replace, so I would just go ahead and do it. 90% likely to fix your problem, and if it doesn't you have fixed something almost sure to break in the next year or so and you know that's not it.

u should be able 2 tell if its the transmission mount by just looking at it...if the rubber on the outside is all shreded up its prolly boke and i think it was 7 bucks for a stock one or 19 bucks for the heavy duty mount...
