On my way for a night of fun with some friends and I suddenly feel and hear some hard, knocking noise from the front/right of my car. Almost feels like its under the passenger seat or front/right wheel arch. I didn't know what was wrong and it was too dark to inspect so I parked on the side of the hwy and got a ride home. Now I know for a fact my tires are in need of a replacement from dry rot (sat for a full year waiting for repair). The knocks seemed consistent with every rotation, and they even hit hard while driving slow.

At first I thought it was mechanical problem with my tranny because the first knock came when I was shifting down... But it continued knocking when I coasted to a stop in neutral.

When I mean knocking, I mean the whole car shook. Like I thought I blew a tire. But I checked and there was no blowout.
