Default lost keys

I have a 91 camero rs with the 305, lost the keys and now have a usless car. I was wondering if anyone here has a used camero, junker, for sale so i could replace all that PASS crap and get her going again. if someone knows a camero graveyard that would help also....

there are ways to bypass the passkey system and just use a standard key. you can bypass it yourself and have a key made by a locksmith, or swap out the ignition. im not sure how to bypass it, but the other members here can help

A brand new key, from the dealer, cut, is less than $30. Just give them your VIN number.

(NOTE: This will only work if it has the factory ignition cylinder)

if its a 91 then your dealer is full of crap about your car not coming with vats

bypassing your vats is extremely simple, ive done it on many thirdgens, only problem being you must have or know which of the 15 resistance values your key had

if you decided to swap just the cylinder you will not need to swap ECM's, you need to swap the passkey control module which actually checks to make sure the resistance value of the chip matches what it needs to complete the circuit, ive never messed with or want to mess with the actual module

if i was you i would just bypass the vats and have a locksmith cut you keys for your locks and ignition
