Default Ignition & Door Key

Hey guys, I want to get a copy of my ignition key and door key but the originals are pretty worn. Is it possible to get the keys from Chevrolet by bringing in my title and driving license? Thanks.

If your keys are wore, it will be a waste trying to have copies made (copy of a woreout key)same as what you have but newer..GM Dealers may not have the info you need in their system due to deleting old files. New ignition lock & new keys maybe the solution. Been there and had that done. 23yr old woreout keys. Door keys where ok my case..

The keys work fine but I have no spares, just the originals. If they break or I lose them im kind of screwed. I agree, making copies of already worn keys is pointless and theres no guranree they'll work. How much did the new ignition lock and keys cost you? It would make sense to get the new ignition lock and keys if GM dont have the original key templates on file anymore. Thanks
